Registering is simple and essential to secure your place in this year’s competition.

How to Register

  • Complete the online registration form (Register Now).
  • Submit before the deadline: 30th September 2025.
  • Ensure accuracy in your details (name, age group, and memorization level).
 

Terms & Conditions

  • Participants must be Australian residents aged under 25.
  • Each participant may compete in one level only.
  • All registered contestants will receive a participation certificate and gift.
 

For Contestants & Registration

The competition is open to all Muslim boys and girls in Australia under the age of 25, across six different levels of memorisation.

Registration is available online through our competition website: Contestant Registration Form. Please complete the form and submit before the deadline to confirm your place.

Registration closes on 30th September 2025, or earlier if all spots are filled. Early registration is strongly encouraged.

The competition will be held from 7–12 October 2025 at Gungahlin Mosque, Canberra. 7–8 October (Round 1 for ACT contestants), 9 October (Round 1 for other states contestants), 10 October (Finals for Levels 1, 2, 3, and 4), 11 October (Finals for Levels 5 and 6) 12 October (Prize Ceremony & Closing Program)

There are six levels, ranging from 1 Juz’ to the entire Qur’an. Each level is further divided into different tracks to accommodate the most common memorisation methods, ensuring inclusivity for students from diverse Hifz backgrounds.

Contestants will be evaluated on memorisation, Tajweed and Makharij (articulation points of letters) to ensure accurate recitation.

Yes. Both forward order (starting from Surah Al Fatiḥah) and reverse order (starting from Surah An Nas) are now officially approved. Contestants may select their preferred method in the registration form.

Yes. Schools and Hifz centres are encouraged to support multiple students. Each student, however, must complete an individual registration form.

In case of illness or emergency, contestants should notify the organisers immediately. We will do our best to reschedule within the competition timeframe.

No, participation in the Hafiz Al-Quran Competition is free of charge.

Logistics & Event Details

Yes. Contestants from interstate are welcome to stay at the mosque with their own sleeping bags and pillows. Free daily meals will be provided during the competition days.

Travel costs are the responsibility of participants and their families.

Yes, parking will be available. If needed, additional arrangements for overflow parking will also be made nearby.

The competition is primarily in-person. At this stage, remote participation is not offered.

Contestants should bring their own copy of the Quran, a form of ID, and any personal items needed for comfort.

For Supervisors & Guests

Yes, parents, teachers, and supervisors are warmly welcome to accompany contestants. However, they will not be able to attend the examination session itself.

Yes. Supervisors will have the unique opportunity to spend time with world-class Quran scholars, benefitting from their experience and guidance outside the examination session time. Additionally, there will be a dedicated session(s) to serve this purpose.

Supervisors and guests should bring any personal items needed for comfort.

For Sponsors

We offer Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze sponsorship tiers. Each package includes a mix of brand exposure through banners, stage visibility, promotional materials, and online recognition. Full details are available when you click this button.

Sponsors will be acknowledged on flyers, social media, banners, the competition website, and at the event itself depending on their sponsorship level.

After submitting an Expression of Interest, our team will confirm availability of your package and provide payment details. Payment is required within two business days of confirmation.

Sponsors will be contacted by our team to coordinate delivery of logos, advertisements, and banners well before the competition date.

General & Outreach

For the first time in Australia, the competition will be led by Prof. Dr Ahmad Essa El-Ma’sarawi (former Grand Imam of Egyptian Qurra’) and Dr Muhammad Fouad AbdulMajeed, alongside other scholars.

Over $50,000+ in prizes will be distributed across 80+ winners at different levels.

More than 80 winners will be recognised across six levels of memorisation.

We anticipate a total audience reach of approximately 150,000 people nationwide (face-to-face and online combined).

For privacy reasons, the examination sessions will be recorded and broadcasted later However, the Prize Ceremony will be livestreamed online. The competition recordings will be shared afterwards on different social media platforms.
