is one of the leading Quranic scholars in the world. He was formerly the grand Sheikh of Quraa in Egypt and the president of the board approving printed and audio copies of the Quran.
Dr Ahmad was born in Dindit, Egypt on the 1st of March 1953. He memorised the entire Quran at the age of 11 under Sheikh Abdul Hamid Hajjaj. He graduated from Al Azhar University (Faculty of Qiraa-aat) and the attained a masters degree in Qiraa-aat as well as Hadith. In 1992 he obtained a PhD in the field of Hadith from Al Azhar University. He Has Sanad and Ijazah in the ten Qiraa-aat via the Shaatibiyyah and Durrah as well as then ten Major Qiraa-aat via the Tayyibah. Amongst his teachers are Sheikh Abdul Hakim Abdul Lateef and Sheikh Muhammad Abdul Hamid Abdullah.
Dr Ahmad is currently residing in Qatar as he heads many Quranic academies. He is also a visiting professor at the Sultan Abdul Hamid University in Malaysia and the head advisor at the faculty of Qiraa-aat. Dr Ahmad advises many universities around the world regarding their Quranic Education.
He has conducted many workshops on Quran and is the leading judge serving as the head of judges in most international competitions. He has authored many books across various fields of Islamic Sciences, with the most prominent being his Quran detailing the changes of all ten Qurraa.

is a senior advisor to the El Masarawi Centre South Africa and is responsible for setting the syllabus according to the needs of a specific branch.
Dr Muhammad Fouad Abdul Majeed has conducted may workshops around the world on the disubject of Tajweed and Qiraa'aat and serves as a judge on many panels.
He currently holds both a masters degree in aviation engineering as well as Qiraa-aat. He has obtained his PhD in teaching the Quran to non Arabs from Al Azhar University. He has authored many books in the field of Tajwwed, Qiraa-aat, Rasm, and teaching the Quran to non-native students.
